Massive New Year's Bug Cleanup, part 1 ( 9 January 2020)

This new patch contains a huge number of various bug fixes and gameplay improvements. Happy New Year, Chefs! Thank you for 2019, let's keep making the game even better in 2020.

General:

• Game loading time has been reduced
• Improved adding products into moving containers
• Improved collisions for Spring Onion
• Fixed the scroll indicator's position for the list of products in a container
• Improved achievement 'You missed a spot'
• Fixed the animations for trashcans
• Improved particle effects for pouring water in still containers
• Added missing hints for product spawners
• Added missing cursor icon for the cutting board and cutting products
• Beer barrel can no longer be clicked on while pouring beer into beer mug
• Player can no longer gather Cooking Points after sending out an empty plate
• In-game screens will now have applied all the graphic effects in Photomode and endgame screen
• Hint 'Switch stacking' has been removed when highlighting an empty container
• All meat and fish products will now cut properly
• Improved performance for Steady Hands perk
• The timer sounds will no longer be played with muted audio
• Fixed an error that caused the fridge door to occasionally open in the wrong direction
• Fixed issues related to cutting T-Bone Steak
• Improved display of liquids in the Classic Food Processor container
• Pork Breakfast Sausage from now on will fry and grill on both sides
• Improved short circuit particle effects for damaged equipment
• Store can no longer be entered while sending out a dish and during the end of the day
• Fixed an issue that played sounds for putting down objects after loading the game
• Increased scrolling speed for the store window

Leaderboards:

• Missing products have been added on the shelf
• The phase of choosing perks can now be skipped by changing a setting from the Main Menu
• Fixed incorrect display of some scores
• Extended feedback on technical issues in the dish score
• Fixed text displayed when exiting to Main Menu

• Classic and Food Network - yellow sticky notes have been removed to increase the game's performance
• Classic - Serrano Pepper will now slide along with the fridge drawer
• Classic - added the missing outline for deep fryer during first day tutorial
• Classic - An outline for the wall clock has been removed
• Modern - All lanterns have working collisions
• Modern - Improved collisions for shelves in the pantry
• Modern - New Food Processor Container can now be bought in the store
• Christmas - Improved areas allowing for placing objects down
• Christmas - Improved performance for the summary screen
• Christmas - Microwave doors can now be damaged
• Christmas - Microwave and griddle can be now repaired
• CookingSchool - Fridge door will remain closed during the 'Kitchen trip'

And a number of minor fixes that didn't make it on the list :)

Holiday Update (19 December 2019)

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And what better way to celebrate than with a festive feast? Invite guests to a delicious Christmas dinner in your luxurious mountain cabin, set the time you’ll need for preparation, and get cooking. Take note of the guests’ preferences to make them extra happy. Pick difficult recipes to impress them or just serve some of your favorites and have yourself a merry little Christmas!

Endless fun! You'll earn points every time you play Christmas mode. Your constantly-updated total score will be displayed in a separate leaderboards tab! Let's see who's the nicest chef this holiday!

Patch (13 December 2019)

We've noticed that the competition on certain dishes in the new Leaderboards mode has gotten pretty intense! Join official Discord server: https://discordapp.com/invite/cookingsimulator to see some tips and tricks and talk to other chefs! Keep up the great work! We wanted to make the rating system a bit more transparent and hopefully help you squeeze those few extra points you desperately need to rank up. With the new update, you're going to receive much more detailed info on each dish you serve, telling you exactly what you nailed and what parts of the recipe you still need to work on. This patch also adds the possibility for the DLC owners to serve Food Network recipes in the regular Career Mode. Have fun and make your customers happier than ever!

• Fixed collision detection for tables in the Classic Kitchen

New kitchen available now! (21 November 2019)

Hey Chefs! As promised, we're not slowing down with the free content updates. Today we're releasing our roadmap's first milestone - modern kitchen update!

Modern kitchen allows for playing both Career and Sandbox mode but keep in mind that career progress is separate for both kitchens :)

• It just looks nice This improved version is much more eye-pleasing and user-friendly than the previous one

• In-game Newsfeed You can now find out about all the upcoming updates directly in-game

• Access Discord from Main Menu In case you want to ask any questions, share thoughts, or just have some fun time with us on Discord, you now have quick access to it

• More content It allows us to better display all the new and upcoming content for the game. See if you can find the hints :)

There are also a few minor improvements:

• Added the requested option to exit game directly from the pause menu
• You can now mute the pause menu music
• Added the option to quickly copy your save file
