Patch 1.10a (September 19, 2026)
The first update since 1.08a in 2021: a modern engine, plus five years of balance, interface and localization work rolled in.
Engine and build
- Rebuilt on Unity 6: updated renderer, current UI library, stability fixes, and no more rare crash on scene load.
- System requirements are higher: Windows 10, macOS 12 or Ubuntu 22.04 and newer.
Balance
- Corinth: Fixed a long-standing bug where five tier 2 buildings gave the same bonus as tier 1 while costing far more. Cargo Harbor now gives +150,000 harbor capacity (was 14,000), Dock Storage +240,000 (was 90,000), Gardens +100,000 field capacity (was 30,000), and higher defense from Fosse and Towers.
- Corinth: harbor gold income 0.5 per worker (was 0.7), canal colony bonus +30% and +50% (was +50% and +100%), military buildings at 0.8 of nominal value (was 1.2).
Exploits
- Raids on a city inside a coalition now hit the city you selected, not the strongest coalition member, so the relations penalty and the battle result reach the right city. The coalition still defends as one.
- Closing and reopening a trade route no longer refunds the "Improve trade" trader each time: the refund is granted once per city.
Interface
- Larger fonts and controls in the dialogs, a re-laid out city map that keeps panels and worker sliders on screen at odd resolutions, correct scaling on aspect ratios other than 16:9.
- Tooltips no longer stick when the Polis window closes; the difficulty icon shows its description again.
New main menu animation, updated studio links.
Localization
- Simplified Chinese: the Corinth canal now matches the spelling of the city name, and the trade cancel button reads "cancel trade" instead of "change goods".
Saves
- Files from 1.08a keep working. Bonuses already applied in an old save are kept, so running campaigns are unaffected; new values apply in full to new games.
