Release Notes for Spark in the Dark
Patch 0.3.15.1
- Adjusted the death penalty in Seeker Mode. On Hard difficulty, up to two items can be damaged; on Normal, one item; on Easy, equipment is no longer damaged after death.
- Hunter experience is now awarded when a trap is triggered and deals damage, not only when a creature dies.
- Legendary weapon generation now depends on the hero’s preferred skill — one-handed or two-handed weapons.
- Weapon switching now generates noise within a small radius. The effect depends on the hero’s skill, armor type, and whether the hero is in stealth.
- Switching weapons while in stealth no longer breaks stealth.
- Added finishing moves with bare fists.
- Improved lock interaction for the Thief — the lockpicking window now displays the correct key name if one can be used.
- Improved item throwing, including coins — items are now thrown within the hero’s forward hemisphere.
- Reduced the weight of bandages.
- Optimized the game’s sound system, improving performance and reducing RAM usage.
- Fixed a possible hero freeze when switching between a crossbow and another weapon.
- Fixed a possible issue when changing Vertical Sync and FPS Limit settings.
- Fixed a hero freeze issue when interrupting drinking.
- Fixed loading of stationary light sources — some lamps could fail to turn on after loading a save.
- Adjusted secret area tracking on the 2nd and 3rd layers. Some passages are no longer considered secret, since they function as map shortcuts (applies to newly generated layers).
- Adjusted attack sounds for the flying creature.
- Increased the Bloodguzzler hitbox, making it easier to hit.
- Improved the appearance of Kort statues and updated textures for several mechanisms.
- Various minor fixes, stability improvements, and gameplay adjustments.
