Release Notes for CraftCraft: Fantasy Merchant Simulator

1.3.1

Greetings, Crafters!

Oak here. I'm happy to announce a new feature update!

As we add more stuff into the game, we always try to take your feedback into account as much as possible. So we present to you two very highly suggested and desired features, which open up some new avenues for us to explore as we update the game even further.

We have added into CraftCraft... a ShopShop. A little nook of your own in The Pickled Pigeonrat, courtesy of the tavern owner, Fazel. You can now set up your wares on sale in the Endless Mode, so that you can have a bit of passive income! At the start of every day in Endless Mode, Fazel will provide you with a report of your successful sales. We hope that this feature will bring a bit more of good ol' shop management into the game ^_^

Additionally, we wanted to see how to make your Workshop a bit more familiar and cozy and we started with a framework for adding customization options into your workshop, courtesy of Quiji and Leene! The first thing we wanted to add were decorative collars for your lovely Meowl. You can find and buy these at Fazel's in the Tavern for the "cheap" price of 10 Golden Gilders. There are a few shape and colour options for you to choose from.

So, once you get this update, please try it out and let us know how it feels! We have some ideas on how to expand both the tavern shop and workshop customization and their interactions further, but would like some additional feedback before we commit to any more updates in that regard. You can always write what you like and dislike about it in our community on Discord. What we would like to know is this:

  1. What kind of interactions would you like to see in your Tavern shop?
  2. What kind of objects or decoration stuff would you like to be able to customize in your Workshop (including the storefront and the smithy)?

Do let us know what you think!

Oh and also, we're on sale for a whole week starting right now so if you haven't had a chance to get the game for yourself (or a friend!) then now is a pretty good time to do so.

Keep on craftin' on!

Much love,

-Oak

1.2.27

Hello Crafters!

Oak here! We're proud to present our Portuguese Brazilian translation of CraftCraft! Available right now! We're very grateful for Alec Santos to make a reprise on our localization efforts from Death and Taxes. While this is a bit of an out of season update, we do have more to share with you very soon.

Meanwhile, I hope that the translation brings us a bit closer to all of our international crafting folks. Obrigado, e divirta-se! More translation efforts are underway, and we also hope to share more about that as the days pass.

We did add some requested quality-of-life features as well, in addition to some helpful tips ^_^

Keep on crafting on & much love.

-Oak

1.2.4

Mellow season's greetings to all of you amazing Crafters!

It is finally time for us to release what we have been working so hard on the past 3 months - a true continuation of our vision of CraftCraft. We have doubled the content in the post-game Endless Mode, complete with ~40 unique, hand-tailored quests featuring both new characters and returning folks alike, with fully voiced dialogue, of course. There are also 4 new Aesthetic tags for you to discover and use in the Endless Mode - Light Magic, Dark Magic, Fire Magic, and Water Magic. These magic tags are part of our efforts to expand our crafting experience into more mystical territory and are a first step into our enchanting plans.

We've poured a lot of love into these new quests, quite literally! There's also new *romance* sequences, the first of which you can access if you load one of your older savegames at the end of the Story Mode and in the returning character quests in the Endless Mode. So you can keep seeing your favourite people a little while longer ^_^

In addition, all of the randomly generated character quests in the Endless Mode are also now fully voiced according to their own distinct personality.

If you're coming back to Windspell from a longer hiatus - worry not, we've got you covered. If you start a new Endless Mode run, you have a short interview process to go through the most meaningful choices you can make in the Story Mode, gearing up your character for all the different interactions we have with those choices right now, and for future updates, too.

And to top it all off we've added a whole bunch of quality of life, polish and bugfix improvements to the game, hopefully making it all a much smoother and pleasant experience for y'all.

Some of the fixes:

Finally, I want to extend a big-big thank you to you all, our players, for being patient with us and supporting us with making the game better and better every day. And of course, my unending gratitude goes out to our team who make all of this possible.

And that's it for now! We will have much more to share once we are in the new year, but for now, happy holidays and I hope you enjoy all of our updates!

Much love, and happy crafting!
