Dear Wizards,
It's time for the second content update of the Early Access! There are 4 new enemies waiting for you. Go and perish these beasts!
Added:
- [Enemies] Added 4 new enemies - Demonic Harpy, Glacial Warden, Buried Nightmare and Electric Spider are ready to fight you!
- [Spells] Added 4 new spells.
- [QOL] The default challenge text is no longer displayed on your 5+ run.
Changed:
- [Spells] Changed tier of Swamp King spell from Rare to Very Rare.
- [Enemies] Rotten Nightmare can no longer spawn in the Void.
- [Enemies] All new enemies can now temporarily spawn in the Void.
- [Perks] (Air/Chaos/Earth/Fire/Ice/Lightning) Orb Essence Perks now have a cap of giving up to +100% increased damage based on the amount of owned orbs instead of up to infinite amount.
- [Astral Upgrades] (Air/Chaos/Earth/Fire/Ice/Lightning) Orb Essence Astral Upgrades now have a cap of giving up to +100% increased damage based on the amount of owned orbs instead of up to infinite amount.
Fixed:
- [Enemies] Fixed a bug where sometimes the wrong death particles were spawn after killing an enemy.
- [Enemies] Charmed or summoned Chaosbane Lizardman's wall will no longer block player's projectiles.
Removed:
- [Closed Rooms] Flying enemies can no longer spawn in small closed rooms. It was too annoying when they were sometimes flying far away even if they were coming back after 3-5 seconds. Waiting even for 5 seconds was breaking the tempo so this had to be removed.

0.5.198 Early Access (2025-08-11)

Dear Wizards,
It's time for the first content update of the Early Access. New final boss is waiting for you on Nightmare and Hell difficulty levels. We have also improved visuals of spells!
Added:
- [Bosses] Added a new final boss on the Nightmare (third) difficulty level.
- [Spells] Added 3 new spells.
- [Camera / Visibility] Added new camera mode "Player always in the Center" which is a new default camera mode. Thanks to setting this in the accessibility settings, wizard will always be in the center of camera and thus he will be way easier to notice. Your current settings have not been changed to avoid confusion after loading the patch. We strongly recommend to test it for yourself!
- [Spells Merging] After failing to merge spells, you now gain extra 5% success chance for each lost spell until your next successful merge. After successfully merging spells, the extra chance is reset.
- [QOL] Added short time slow effect after getting hit to make it more clear.
Changed:
- [Spells] Now all spells are pixelated so they both look better and have a better performance!
- [Rooms] Reduced number of enemies spawning in small closed rooms. There should be now up to 4 enemies spawning in them at once. Before it was possible to spawn up to 7 enemies which was ridiculous and unfair in some locations.
- [Enemies] Reduced Necromancer's life steal by 33%
- [Meta Progression] Reworked Lich Power upgrade. Instead of regenerating 1 HP every [10 / 9 / ... / 3] seconds, it now regenerates 1 HP every [3 / 3 / 2 / 2 / 1 / 1] seconds, but can regenerate only up to [20% / 22% / 24% / 26% / 28% / 30%] instead of up to 100%. So it will regenerate HP faster, but with lower % max health limit.
- [QOL] Renamed "Exit" to "Save & Exit" in the pause menu so all of you will know that the game automatically saves when you exit during a run.
Fixed:
- [Enemies] Fixed a bug where Goblin Assassin and Void Worm could get permanently stuck in their reappear animations which was making them forever immortal.

Dear Wizards,
In today's patch the main focus was about adding option to change transparency of player's spells and effects in the settings. We heard a lot of complaints about the visibility dropping while having some crazy spells and we hope that it will feel much easier to see what is going on and enemies attacks after lowering the transparency of player's spells and effects.

- [Visibility / Settings] Added option to change transparency of player's spells and effects in the settings.
Changed:
- [Visibility] Increased default transparency of player's spells and effects [30% => 40%].
- [Visibility] Lowered default transparency of enemy spells and effects [30% => 0%].
Fixed:
- [Loading] Fixed a bug where level generation could sometimes stuck at loading enemies.

Dear Wizards,
Today's patch is focused on improving performance of all explosions. They were all reworked and should have much better performance now!
Changed:
- [Performance] Reworked all explosions to improve their performance.
- [Game Feel] Increased Basic Spell's base knockback by a little bit more than 300% [3.2 => 10.0].
- [Enemies / Game Feel] It's now easier to interrupt enemies (and briefly stun them) after dealing them enough damage in a single blow. Each enemy have a separate percentage threshold, but they were lowered by 20-300% based on the enemy.
- [Enemies] Bosses now can become elites only starting from the second difficulty level.
- [Perks / Artifacts] All perks and artifacts generating currencies over time now generate them 3 seconds faster.
- [Spells] Increased explosion range of Arcane Bomb by 50%
Fixed:
- [Texts] Damage and healing texts are no longer displayed when damage/healing done is equal to 0.
Removed:
- [Visibility] Removed gravity distortion effect(visually) from Gravity Tornado and Gravity Zone spells. They were causing performance issues and with multiple of them spawned it was really difficult to read enemies attacks. These effects had sense only long time ago when there was no spells merging in the game.
- [Curses] Removed Curse of the Blind from the possible curses you can randomly gain on difficulty level 2+

It's time for another patch focused on improving game feel and visibility. In the next patch we're gonna rework explosions to improve their performance.
Changed:
- |Game Feel| Increased speed of most player's spells projectiles by 100+%
- |Game Feel| Increased base speed of Basic Spell [14 => 20].
- |Game Feel| Increased base damage of Basic Spell [6.5 => 8].
- |Visibility| Enlarged the cursor by 50% and changed it's shape to a square to make it more visible.
- |Visibility| Improved visuals of hit effects and their performance.

Dear Wizards,
Today's patch is all about improving game feel and visibility.
Added:
- |Game Feel| Added a clear visual effect when landing a hit on the enemy. It's color is based on the element of used spell.
- |Game Feel| Added screen shake after killing any enemy.
- |Game Feel| Added screen shake after stomping.
- |Game Feel| Added screen shake when using Jumping Slime.
Changed:
- |Visibility| Darkened all background decorations so they should no longer take too much focus. It's also better for the eyes.
- |Game Feel| Jumping Slime will now push you upwards instantly instead after a short delay.
