Patch 1.2.4
Bosses & Kabuki Theater
- Added an option in the Kabuki theater boss rush to retry either the current boss fight if fighting a boss on their own, or to retry the Trial of the Tentaihana from the beginning, if the player died during a boss fight.
- Fixed the Sakura Shogun in the Kabuki Theater boss rush fight occasionally travelling offscreen during the sword arc attack.
- Fixed an edge case softlock occurring when talking to Okuni for the first time in the Kabuki Theater with the dialogue stingers disabled, only if they recently returned from the main menu or had little interaction with elements of the game that produce music stingers up until that point in their game session.
- Fixed an occasional softlock occurring after fighting the base game Daitengu boss, in which engaging with an Omamori pickup and interacting with the Daitengu NPC at the same time will lock the player with no controls.
- Fixed the playthrough timer occasionally being misaligned with the boss rush timer.
- Potentially fixed an occasional issue of having the Trail of the Tantaihana victory logic and rewards trigger after dying and defeating a boss in the boss rush at the same time, most notably the Tengu Duo.
- The “active” or “inactive” state of seals now persist between repeat boss fight attempts. However the seals will reset to an “inactive” state if you restart the game/save file.
Localization
- Fixed unsupported and missing characters for the Japanese dyslexic font.
- Fixed some minor typos in the English version.
- Fixed a minor typo in the English description for the Moving In achievement.
Doll Machine
- Slightly lowered chance of getting doll duplicates after a certain amount of dolls are collected. We were already doing this but we lowered it even further in this update.
- Added an option for “10 pulls” for the Doll Machine in the Kabuki Theater. This will be executed in 2 sets of 5 pulls rather than 1 set of 10 pulls.
- Added a x2 fast forward option for the Doll Machine to increase doll reveal animation speed.
Visual
- Fixed a minor texture clipping issue on Okuni's tail.
- Fixed a material issue affecting the brightness of certain objects.
- Reduced the emission of some particles in the Tengu Boss battles.
- Applied a new hit animation to the sumo pagoda drums.
Room Transitions
- Fixed an issue where in some cases the camera would not follow the player properly when entering the wind tunnel in Megumi Mountain from the top entrance on the southeast side.
Tanuki Tracker Quest
- Fixed a softlock that can potentially occur if a player repeats the tanuki race in Uzumaki Cave after building the kabuki theater but before entering the kabuki theater for the first time.
Physics
- Fixed the player rapidly increasing in velocity in horizontal wind currents if wall jumping with no directional input in the same direction as the wind current.
- Fixed the player grappling continuously when trying to grapple a moving small viral yokai as it is bursting from a larger viral yokai, before settling in a consistent patrol velocity.
Menus
- Potentially fixed an occasional issue in which the player cannot access the Pause menu and map after engaging with the Fast Travel menu and cutscene.
Rebinding
- Potentially fixed an issue some players have been experiencing with their primary rebindings being completely unbound when returning to the main menu screen and/or returning to the game after exiting.
