Update 1.5.0 (22 August 2020)

Dear Scavengers!

A small step for a game, one giant leap for the Players! The time has come for a long-awaited co-op mode update to share danger with your Scavenger mate. We've improved the co-op mode, which gives
playing together a new lease of life .

Of course, that's not our last word, and we're preparing further improvements, but we wanted to share our work with you right now.

Update 1.5.0

New features:
Better Together

Co-op mode has been an essential element of Danger Scavenger for us from the beginning. We love playing with friends, and we think that our project is perfect for that. That's why we were not satisfied with how it looked at release. Since its launch, we have worked hard to improve it. We are sure that you will like it now.

New Game+

Of course, we do not forget about players who prefer to play single. This time, if you finish Danger Scavenger in Hardcore mode, challenging New Game+ mode will be unlocked.

New navigation elements in the hub

We have added navigation stripes in the hub to make it easier to reach your destination!

New endgame animations

This time, after returning to HUB, a big applause and cheers from the Scavengers' team await for you.

Loading animation

While loading the game, we added proper animation.

Movement direction indicator for gamepad

We got a lot of information that the game on the gamepad is unintuitive. That's why we have prepared a direction indicator. Below you will see a little preview.

What's next?

As we mentioned in the previous update, Gamescom Online starts next week. On the Indie Arena Booth stand, you will find Danger Scavenger!

During this event, we are preparing a lot of surprises for you, including a new Demo, the update with leaderboards, a competition for the best score, and other minor bug fixes.

We hope that you will be with us then because we will also stream the game and answer your questions in the chat.

Update 1.4.0 (7 August 2020)

Dear Scavengers!

This week we prepared a second update for you - an enchanted surprise! With Update 1.4.0, Cursed Items appeared in the game along with some other small improvements. Full list below:

New features:
The Curse System

This time we have prepared something terrifying for you! A special room with cursed items. Each time you can choose one of three unique rewards, which, apart from many benefits, will give you a terrible curse. So... will you take a chance?

Improving the look and collision of Secret Rooms

In the last update, we have prepared for you a new feature - Secret Rooms. We saw lots of feedback about it and decided to improve their aesthetics and fixed some collisions.

Improving the appearance of the HUD

This time we focused on a better arrangement of the text in the pop-ups that appeared above the items. We have improved the display of information about the levels on the map.

Improvement of turrets

We fixed a bug in which the top of the turret jumped from its platform when it rotated behind a player.

What's next?

As we mentioned in the previous update later this month, the following updates will come new animations, a co-op update, New Game+ in Hardcore mode, and Leaderboards.

Danger Scavenger is still growing and we hope you are happy with the all changes and updates. In addition, we've started working with the G.Round team, which will make our project better! :)

Update Notes 1.3.0 - The Power of Surprise The power of surprise cannot be overestimated. (3 August 2020)

In the last 6 updates, we focused on improving and adding new features to the single-player gameplay. However, one of the most important problems remained unresolved - the generic shape of the levels, which are generated completely randomly, which made them erm... let's put it this way - less exciting. Until today :-)

In this update, you will find many new features that will diversify the gameplay, make the levels appealing, and will often surprise you. Levels still generate randomly, but we've changed the way they are generated, which now creates lots of surprising shapes, holes, and branches. At the same time, each skyscraper gained its own personality. Let's get straight to the point:

New features:
Secret Rooms

There are many new surprises waiting for you on the rooftops, but from now on they will also be waiting to be discovered below the surface. Please focus because you may miss the entrance that will give you a full backpack of the precious stuff. This feature is still in Work in Progress but we're sure you'll like it already.

The new look of the generated levels

We have prepared a completely new look for all levels. Of course, we still keep the spirit of the roguelike games, and each level is generated randomly. Only this time, we focused on making more interesting shapes that add variety and smoot gameplay to the game.

Improving look and layout of objects

Along with the new look of the generated levels, we also focused on improving the appearance of the props.

Speed Boost

To speed up the whole game, we have added a unique speed boost when the player eliminates all opponents on each level.

Graphics improvements

Responding to many opinions about the repetitiveness of the levels, we have prepared many new graphic improvements that will allow you to see more differences between each skyscraper. You will find new elements of the environment, a more transparent look of the floor on the Oriental skyscraper, and the variety of the whole Diesel skyscraper.

Danger Scavenger Update 1.2.1 - Smooth as butter (July 13, 2020)

In this update, we've set a goal to improve your gaming experience. Therefore, we focused on the most important aspects that you mentioned in the feedback: improving the performance and smoothness of the game, fixing bugs, tuning, and adjusting game parameters. Let's get straight to the point:

If you played version 1.1.1 or later to use the new game mode selector, hit ESC and then select: "Reset Game Mode" option.

fewer FLOORS in skyscrapers

We are testing fewer floors so that you can progress faster in the game. We have received a lot of feedback from you that there are too many levels on a single skyscraper. We tend to set the current number of levels or the increasing number of levels as the game progresses.
