Update 1097 (20 April 2026)
Hello players!
We wanted to push one final update before the weekend in response to your valuable feedback. We are listening and working hard to resolve the final few issues.
In this update:
- Overhaul of checkpointing system, to give more granular restart points and hopefully reduce frustration. Too many to list out individually!
- Lighting improvements in Chapter 10
- Some combat rebalancing + additional iframes on dodge. (We’re continuing to work in this area, expect further improvements)
- Resolve issues with getting stuck in the PDA
- Generator boss fight fail state no longer skips the whole encounter
- Car wheels animation fixes
- Fixed interaction softlock if spamming battery in and out of machines
- Waterfall puzzle in Termite Lair functions correctly after a save and reload
Those of you unlucky enough to have been caught by edge case progression blockers should also find this update unblocks you. We will be watching socials carefully over the weekend.
Looking ahead:
We’ve heard you loud and clear on the desire to skip dialogs. This is not a straightforward fix and needs more testing our side, but we hope to ship this feature next week.

Update 1080 (15 April 2026)
Hello all.
Thank you for your support up to now. It's been a bewildering 24 hours, and we're still hard at work.
Today we have fixes for the main issues we saw in the community yesterday:
- Wingman no longer breaks while using a fast scroll feature (horizontal movement) on a Brightness setting
- Fixed rare cases with level transition during which Reach could get stuck in a deathloop
- Reach no longer can walk on air in his jacket during intro titles sequence
- Increased difficulty of the escape sequence after the first boss fight
- Wingman localization fixes
- Some minor visual fixes
Hotfix 1 | 1077 (15 April 2026)
- Fixed checkpoint in 3-1 (you could be stuck behind the door if you reload the checkpoint after the Matriarch fight).
- Another checkpoint in 3-1 where you could reload the checkpoint after the first cutscene with Tempest and 2nd one won't happen.
- Updated credits
- Updated the first cutscene in 2-4-1 where the train had no rails under it (you could see out of bounds)
- Additional fixes to 3-1 trap room save states (before there was a chance you could enter the trap room and one of the generators was already buzzing and open)
- Lessened amount of enemies in final boss fight to make it less tedious (still challenging, though)
- Restricted finishers at combat zone borders so that they can't accidentally push you outside of combat if you do one at the border
- Fixed stairs for 1-3-3
- Fixed 2-4-6 Yoyo giving you Milky Way song
- Fixed achievement for finishing chapter 9
- 2-1-8 added propeller animations to the car on the exit cutscene (was static before)
- 2-2-1 Updated Matriarch so that she stands there only once (before that, she could be on the railway platform and on the bottom level at the same time)
- 1-3-8 added additional save loaders to the generator puzzle, so it's more difficult to break while exiting the game
- 1-5-5 fixed vent collider, so that people could jump there using dashbox
- 1-5-1 added colliders at the first pit at the beginning of the level. Before that, you could jump there and die while seeing out of bounds
