Release Notes for The Falconeer

The Falconeer Update 1.4.3.0

• Added Portuguese Brazilian language text support.

• Added a gamma slider to settings.

• Photo-mode bindings within control menu now has a title.

• For normal and easy difficulty, all ammo is now refilled upon landing anywhere inhabited.

• For hardcore difficulty all ammo is now refilled at your home, pyro pots are refilled anywhere inhabited.

• Upon death you no longer lose any ammo pots you bought, only splinters.

• After completing a chapter, every mission of that chapter is now listed and can be replayed.

• Storms have been visually improved and can now be spotted from a distance.

• Storms have been made slightly more dangerous with increased flying effects.

• Diving into the water will now always stop ammo overcharging within storms.

• Fixed an issue whereby some ships were intersecting rocks and ending up in strange places.

• Mission combat events now de-spawn and reset only at further distances.

• Increased the default range of the compass and the scaling of compass items.

• Fixed a flicker which occurred when the compass is switched between exploration and combat mode.

• Made character portrait animations snappier.

• Character portraits now have different idle animations which won't sync together.

• Characters within their portraits now have roughed up hairlines.

• Added a missing race marker.

• Fixed issue where fish could be caught within caves.

• Tree of Souls is now less cluttered and visually improved.

• Caves have been visually improved.

• Added additional preventions to stop wreckdive cutscenes from not displaying.

• Pirate Hunters are cleared for clean-up after the player redeems their status as pirate.

• Pirate Hunters may now spawn if you load a new game.

• Fixed issue with level up warning popping-up in the main menu.

• Splash damage from exploding turrets fire reduced.

• Rocket fire damage reduced by 20%.

• Increased the health of the Dreadnot during Treefall mission.

• Splash damage limited so insta-kills of ships is less likely.

• Added colour coded button icons for Xbox X, Y, A and B buttons.

• The settings and control menus now respond to mouse better. You can click on left to go left or right to go right in a setting.

• Resolution switcher now goes up and down logically.

• Mouse control + Aim control scheme does not drift the bird all over the place when in a cinematic zoom.

• Reduced the tendency of the bird heading towards a tracked target when holding the target tracking button while using Mouse Control + Aim Control schemes.

• Mouse controls now restored to the Worldmap menu.

• If multiple game controllers are connected, the input system will now revert to the controller type you set as your flight axis.

The Falconeer Update 1.3.33.0

• Doing pirate actions now gives a 'Pirate Level'. The level increases as the player carries out more pirate actions.
• The pirate level maxes out at 3. For every level, additional pressure is placed on the player by 'Bounty Hunters'.
• When the player is a Pirate, they can see 'Hidey Holes' across the map. They can also see the new location 'Atun's Folly'.
• Atun's Folly has a new mini pirate campaign.
• Pirate level 3 can only be removed by purchasing an Amnesty. Completing the Atun's Folly campaign allows the player to purchase Amnesty's at hidey holes.
• Up to Pirate level 2 can be removed by purchasing a 'Letter of Redemption' at Hidey Holes.
• Hidey Hole's allow the player to redeem stolen loot (From destroying friendly boats).
• Landing at Hidey Hole's or Atun's Folly will save progress as a pirate if the player leaves the game.
• Dual-Wielding Magnatar rifles and Gobspitters are now available at Atun's Folly.
• There are new 'story' missions at Stargazer, Westgate and Castellus.
• There are two new classes called 'Arbiter' and 'Corsair' used by the AI (Also known as legendary aces).
  • Arbiters are essentially police chiefs that keep law and order, they fly 'Fenix's'.
  • Corsairs are the opposite to Arbiters, they fly 'Pteron's'.
• Several legendary aces have been added to the main storyline.
• Text has been added to each chapter within the chapter select screen to provide further chapter info.
• Enemies now dodge rockets and legendary aces can fire rockets at the player.
• Every cinematic zoom now has an appropriate descriptor to resemble enemies and friendlies.
• Implemented narrow escape system, the player will be left with 1 health after taking a hit instead of dying instantly.
• Fixed the display for the fortress achievement
• Fixed certain carrying items being explodable/destructible when they shouldn't.
• Added map reward for The Temple of Creation during Cleftspire chapter, mission 3.

The Falconeer Update 1.3.19.0

• Fixed wrong button prompt in Prologue for targeting.
• Button prompts now blink in Prologue.
• Trying to land in Prologue now shows warning that the feature is locked.
• Prologue balloon section removed.
• Prologue bombing section removed.
• Bombing side mission tutorial added to Dunkle.
• 'Paths to Shard' mission fixed when cargo is shot off.
• Mosaur skin glitch fixed.
• Fly ahead prompt forcibly deactivated on fly home.
• Ammo recharging when perched fixed for each difficulty.
• Fixed random progress on several achivements when first starting the game.

The Falconeer Update 1.3.5.0

• map/compass guidance always pops in after some distance from it

The Falconeer Patch 1.0.5.0

The Falconeer has received a brand new patch!

Featuring a couple of localisation improvements, bug fixes and more - the full list can be found below :

Language Updates

- Korean had the wrong spacing rules applied. Spaces are now correct in Korean

• Number of improvements on the Russian localisation

Bug Fixes :

• Clicking leave with mouse would cancel your mission, fixed
• Sometimes switching to the map would fail, and you'd be left with a town description in view
• If you got killed wile the camera was zooming on a cap ship or location, you'd enter a zombie mode with detached camera, you now die properly.
• Player when on fire can again dive in water to douse flames
• Delivery items could suddenly drop after launch.
• Delivery items could suddenly shatter when trying to pick up.
• Mouse would register wrong clicks in the pause menu.

Gameplay changes :

- Splash damage is now zero on the player from his own mines, in easy and normal

• Your wingman also won't die in hardcore mode.
• Delivery items now cannot shatter on ships and enemies (prevention from random despawning in missions)
• Photomode on mouse should now be smooth
• In the maw, stealth would sometimes fail to quickly, 5 second buffer added
• Fly ahead, is now also working when homebound, so a fly home will appear once the mission is done.
• Fly ahead is available in side missions
• In some cargo retrieval or salvage missions, the item would be invisible and become impossible to grab, now fixed
• Impact damage at high speeds is reduced, to prevent to many insta-kills on hitting airships.
• Falcon cawing reduced in jetstreams
• 120HZ V-sync improved on Xbox Series S/X (xbox patch will arrive later due to testing)
